I pull a NH 846, which only makes a 4ft. bale, and it's all my Farmall 460 will handle at the end of the bale. I can pull the baler in 2nd on level ground, but going up slight inclines I have to pull in 1st. I would suggest a larger tractor with that baler. It seems that some say that the SMTA will out work the 460... I would agree - in the fuel consumption area and in maneuverability. But I also have a SMTA, and it will not pull my 7ft. bush hog in tall grass where the 460 will, let alone pull the 846 round baler.
