hi i just got a 49 h and it runs really well but it jumps out of 5th over real bumpy ground. it will stay in while going down the road without holding it in. all of the other gears work well with minimal noise. i am wondering if it is related to this problem....the bearing in the shaft above the one running from the tranny to the pump (drive shaft) in the tranny case seems to make noise and also is leaking a bit of transmission fluid. can this be replace without splitting the tractor? would that be causing the 5th gear to jump since it is direct drive? how much do these bearings usually cost. it doesn't grind at all but it sounds "loose" and the shaft doesnt seem to wiggle much. the sound goes away with the clutch engaged. hope i got all the info right! thanks!!!
