I don't know what kind of electronic ignition you have. I have a Pertronix and it requires that you feed the electronic unit with 12V (negative ground system)from the positive side of the battery. That requires you tap in ahead of the ballast reistor and do not connect it to the coil (which is connected to the downsream side of the ballast reistor at 4-5 volts). The other caution is to not leave the key "ON" when the tractor isn't running. If you know the maker of the electronic ignition system, perhaps they have a customer service number you can call on for help. Hope this helps.
