Farmall A battery drain

What am I missing? I have a farmall A with a 6 volt positive ground system. The switch cover sparks to the box and drains the battery. I have replaced the amp gauge and put a new three position switch along with rebuilding the generator with a new voltage regulator. why would the cover spark? What am I missing?
