Did you guys see this in USA Today??

Case/IH announced today that they will be re-introducing the famed “Farmall” Letter-series of tractors, beginning with the “Super-C” and “Super-A” models. In a press release dated March 31st, 2004, company spokesman Reed J Atonn stated “We have understood for some time now the popularity of these models. Not only are they acquired by collectors and enthusiasts, but they are in use every day across America and around the world on small farms and estates. They are simple, reliable, and efficient to operate. And in our current state of world affairs, we feel that nothing says “America” better than a red Farmall tractor.”

The release goes on to say that the production tooling will be the same for as much of these tractors as possible, making direct interchangeability with original parts possible in most cases. “The only areas where we made changes were in places where OSHA and/or other safety concerns were an issue.”

Guy Faye, Farmall enthusiast and curator of the McCormick Farmall archive at the Wisconsin State Historical Society worked closely on this project to help insure historical accuracy. He also mined the archives on occasion to help procure manufacturing and sales materials which helped production get up and running.

Case/IH authorized dealers nationwide received their sales packets yesterday, making immediate information and even purchases possible beginning today. First shipment of the Model C’s is scheduled for June 5th, with the Modal A’s to begin rolling off the assembly line approximately 90 days after that.

(I don’t know about you guys, but I find this extremely uplifting and exciting!!)
