Working on the new drive to the garage. My great neighbor is spreading out some gravel with his skid steer. And then, it happened. He got stuck. And he worked at getting out. And he sank further into the clayey silt. And he gave up, the soil too gooey to allow self rescue and eager to swallow him up more. Two hours later I arrive home to find the Case skid-steer sunk into the earth 6-10" past the axles. Hummm. Well we hooked up the loader to the 300 via a stout chain. I shifted into 1st, pulled the TA lever back, throttled up about 1/ 2 way, slowly let out the clutch and with not even noticable change in engine rpm or the slightest strain I dragged the Case out. Having a great neighbor with cool equipment great! Having a 300 Farmall priceless. Having the 300 for 3 months I am now drunk with power! My former primary tractor was a whipped Ford 2N btw.
