M with Rear Main Seal Leak

I have a friends M that his grandfather bought new in the shop. I'm not sure of date of manufacture but as far as I can tell it's never been tampered with. I've got it running great after it was left set for several neglected years (15-20). It has a steady leak from the rear main into the clutch housing; any tips would be greatly appreciated. It runs so well that I hate to tear it clear down to repair it. How much can I get at without pulling it from the frame?
