I let our chore tractors' exhaust manifold fill up with rain water and freeze this winter. (IH 656 gas utility) Now come time to use it and have found two major cracks. Been using it for cleaning the barn and its been doing ok, want to do some brush clearing and wanted to ask if I work this tractor hard and get it hot, am I risking burning it up with the cracks in the exhaust manifold, should I run it with the hood off? I will fix it in the future...sometime but have plenty of work for it now...is it a good idea?
