We had the Excel version of this cab on a 1256. Did the cab come off of a larger 56 tractor or did it come off a 756? If it came from a larger one you will have to remake the sheetmetal that goes around the fuel tank. Wilson is right, you need the platform parts, too, unless you are good at fabrication. I forget exactly how it all went together but it should be a pretty straigt forward installation. You should have axle brackets that go around the axle housing, that is the main rear attachement to the tractor, the front of the platform bolts to the present step bracket area and the cab rests on isomount rubber bushings at four points. Basically, you install the platform, axle brackets and front brackets first, then the cab sits down on the four rubber bushings, foam is used to fill the gap between the two major parts. After that you install the front sheemetal around the fuel tank that I mentioned above and then install the rear sheetmetal around the rear of the tractor that fills the gap between the tractor and cab. We isolated as many contact points as possible between the tractor and cab, wrapped rubber around the axle housings where those brackets clamped on and the cab was suprisingly quiet, almost as quiet as my 76 model 1566 was. A good heavy rubber floor mat helps too. Don't know if you can still get a factory mat or will have to make something.
