Just got in from work and found my new/old gas tank for the super A. Opened the box and was dissapointed to notice that the mounting brackets on the tank are different from those on the old dented tank I intended to replace. Original tank had two brackets on the underside which fit outside the hydraulic resevoir then tappered toward the front of the tractor and fit outside a bracket mounted directly to the back of the engine. New tank has two small brackets at the rear which will fit the threaded holes in the resevoir, but nothing up front to accomadate the bracket at back of engine. New tank also has holes at front in the ridge created by the seam of the tank where the old tank had two plates to catch the "J" latches. The question is "why me?". No really, the question is what is this new tank from and can I make it fit, or rather has anyone out there made one fit. The supplier has been great in the past and I was very surprised to find this difference. Its too late to call but I will speak to the supplier in the morning. Any help or shared experience is greatly appreciated.
