Jake just in case you need to replace yours. I posted to my web site how I replaced the TA on my 400 with a rebuilt unit. I am by no means a expert actually it was my 1st time doing it. But at least you get a idea how all the parts relate to each other. I also have a link to Steel Wheel Ranch on my links page. They have rebuilt TA's for $399 + $100 core. Look for the Farmall 400 page link on the left pane of my site. Hope this helps.
