I always considered a 50 horse power tractor boarder line for actually utulizing the floatational use of duals for pulling. In the right senerio as you are discribing (discing on loose dirt which would be on already disced or plowed ground) the duals would probably help. Having the wide front instead of the tricycle would probably help just as much. Not to many people trying to make a living working ground with an M as one of there main tractors today, compared to the 60's when the M was likely a number 2 tractor in the tractor line-up on a functional farm. Put the duals on if you want. If I have to mess with duals on an M, I am just going to walk over and get on the 1066.
