What to use to protect the electrical connections?

The starter was intermittently not turning over the engine on my Super A so I pulled out the multimeter and found that I had 2 volts of drop in the ground path to the starter. I pulled the cables and other pieces of hardware and took them over to the wire wheel and cleaned every thing up. Put it back together. The starter turned over much better then. I then emptied the glass bowl under the tank and wiped out the little pieces of rust that had accumulated. Seems like this winter will be a time to etch and seal the tank.
I then tighted up the fan belt.
Checked the points and adjusted them. Found also that the condenser was loose in it's holder, so I tighten that up.
I then installed the new headlight bulbs that I had purchased. Turned on the switch and nothing. Wiggled the fuse holder and they came on and off. When I got them on, I went over and bumped the headlamp holder and they would go on and off. So I have some more cleaning of grounds and of switch connections at the dash.
After I get all of the connections clean, what do I put on them to keep them from being rusty and oxidixed in another six months?
