I have two sickle sharpeners that I've restored. One is a McCormick-Deering and the other is a John Deere sickle sharpener. I restore horsemowers and I got these at an auction sale...They both have a base bracket that fits just perfectly on the wheel of the mower....this way farmers could pull out the sickle right at the field and sharpen the sickle right from the top of a wheel...I guess it is like a workbench with a sickle grinder mounted to it....It sure gets people asking questions at farm machinery shows I attend....
