If your distributor is anything like an M's, if your rotor is lined up correctly with the piston at top dead center, put the distributor back on, loosen the two nuts that hold it in place. On the M's, you could move the distributor counterclockwise, and clockwise until you think that you have it pretty close. Putting it on the dyno would be the best way to do it, but I did it all by the sound on my M. Best of luck!
