When the 806 was new IH called them a 6-plow tractor. Most people around here pulled 5 with them. Other factors enter in to this such as soil type, what kind of sod it is, how deep you wish to go, how fast, number of acres, etc. If you get a 4 bottom plow you should be able to pull it any where it will just take you a little longer to get done.
