Hi! I have a problem with a Cub, and I hope you all can help. First off, the original coil has been replaced by an aftermarket coil, now bolted to the underside of the top cover. The tractor quite running after a long spell of not running good, and I was brought into the picture (the tractor belongs to my grandpa) I have fire at the coil, tested by running the coil wire to the block and cranking it. But, I have no juice to the spark plug wires. A local mechanic insists that its the points, but I thought that if the points were bad, you would not have juice from the coil. Juice to the distibutor, but none leaving the distibutor. I think its the cap, rotor, or something along those lines, anyone have any suggestions?
