Does the crankcase oil level go down? Smell the crankcase oil on the dipstick, is it thin and smell like Diesel fuel ? If it smells like Diesel fuel and the crankcase oil is thin, then Diesel fuel could be leaking thru the front seal on the main drive of the Bosch injection pump. The excess Diesel fuel will mix with the crankcase oil and it will also evavorate out of the crankcase thru the breather. Anothe indication of Diesel fuel leaking into the crankcase oil is very low oil pressure when engine is warm and idling. If this is the problem the replacement seal is only about $10. More serious problem could be broken compression rings. Please lets us know what you find. Good luck JB
