Ted: Very difficult to retrofit an A with factory hydraulics. The hydraulics are live off the timimg gears of the engine. The pump mounts just under the distributor or mag. The block on the A was never drilled for this. The hydraulic touch control uint mounts just under the fuel tank on top of torque tube. The A torque tube is round on top where as the Super A has a flat top on torque tube for mounting the hydraulic unit. The block and torque tube would need to be changed. Probably cheaper to buy the Super A tractor.

The other difference is all of the A had Mag ignition from factory, although many have been changed over the years. Very few Super A ever had mag ign, the ones that did were ordered that way.

Another item you might also wish to consider is the fact the A and Super A had C-113 engine with thermosyphon cooling. The Super A1, 100, 130 and 140 all had C-123 engine, all had water pump cooling, hydraulics were beefed up a bit and they had much better brakes. The brakes had a better mechanical advantage giving more positive breaking and the design made them less expensive to buy brake parts for.
