Back when I was in College, I worked for the state parks department. Parks had a 340U (I think it was an "industrial") w/Wagner loader on it. 8 ply truck tires up front, a cut off (about 2/3) 55 gal drum filled w/concrete that mounted on the 3-point. (I think the boys @ Pen made them, as other park units had the same thing for their loader tractors.) Took the mower off & attached the drum when ever we moved boat ramp "planks", which were 8" X 12" X 18' chunks of reinforced concrete. (These were formed at the State Pen w/connecting links so they could be bolted together.) They were HEAVY-you got really good at judging where the middle these beasts were. I worked there three summers & we never had a problem w/the 340. That loader would lift more than I ever thought it could & I grew up around loaders on farm tractors. I don't think you could put too much weight back there. (My $0.02 worth. jal-SD)
