John, I think to replace the 6V 1128 or 1133 bulbs you'll want to get 2320, 2330 or 2350 bulbs. You can also get single contact bayonet sytle bulbs in halogen now instead of incandescent if you want a lot of light. They'll do 30 to 50 per cent more light at not much more current draw (not that current draw is much of a consideration if you're adding an alternator.) Also, if you want that south of the border look, or to celebrate Christmas, you can get the same bayonet base with red or green LED's now as well. Ain't progress wonderful?
