Farmall A: Adjusting Points

I just bought a new set of points and condenser for my 1950 Super A. I installed them last night but I want to make sure that i did it correctly. I know the gap is .02" for the points. What Iam not sure about is the position of the cam for the distributor. It has a notched out area in it for the rotor plug. Does this area have to be at the high point for adjusting the gap or can it be at the " o'clock" postion? Iguess what I am asking is hoe to adjust the points correctly.Also: I also bought a ner coil. It looks larger than the original one and it has a liquid sound inside. My original, when you shake it, does not have any sound. Do I have the proper coil? I bought from my local IH dealer and he is certain I have the correct one. So- should your new coil make a swishing sound or no sound.
