A good friend of mine has a delimma. He lost his father two years ago to cancer. My buddy got all of his farming equipment including several restored Farmalls and some working tractors of a "green shade".Well,he and his two brothers divided the propery, approx. 130 acres between the three of them,(mother passed away several years ago).My buudy got the house and gave 20 acres of his third to the the two brothers.A local farmer rents the land with exception to the 5 acres my buddies house is on and a couple of acres his oldest brothers new barn is on.Oldest brother lives about 10 miles away and has nowhere on his propery where he lives to put a barn. What happened was the old barn fell in on his boat and he had this one built.Well,as it turns out,the new barn was big enough to put my buddies restored Farmalls in,and still had room to spare without interfering wit hhis brothers boat as far as getting it in and out of the barn.Problem is,that now,his oldest brother seems to act like he owns the whole place and expects his brother to do what he says just because he now has a decent place to keep his tractors out of the weather.Give ya na example:I went over Sunday afternoon for a few cool ones and to play around with these tractors some. When i pulled up I find my buddy gone off with his wife and kids, his brother in the back yard with his boat, battery on charge and working on the foot of the boat and gear oil and dirty rags and tools all ove the ground.I told my buddy about it the next day at work and he sayid his brother has been like that since he got the new barn built,Said he even toild him one time he was going to have to start aprking in a different spot so he could get his boat out easier when he got ready to go to the lake.He said he had t obite his tongue t okeep from cussing his brother out and says he constantly upsets him over things like that, said he just walks in the house whever he feels like in,nop knocking or nothing. Its really got him upset and its affecting him and his family and job.Any of you been down that path before?Thaks for letting me ramble!
