Hugh I have a few TA questions. I have only run a couple TA tractors, most time on a 504. I assume its a clutch to engage another shaft in the rear. If so it would be just a normal adjustment to service & would last awhile if not abused. I also saw about not using a TA as a "brake" in an above post, the 504 would free wheel if put in low side downhill, but I did see a company at the farm science review in Columbus Ohio about 15-20 yrs ago that claimed their replacement assembly would work both directions & could be used as a downshift to hold the tractor back. Any info?
