Prime the oil pump. Not an unusual happening on a Cub when not run for extended periods of time. On the left side of the engine at the back of the block- in the edge of the flange- hidden under the hydraulic lines if you have them- there is a small Allen head plug. Remove the plug and using a pump oiler, pump the hole full of the same oil used in the engine- requires very little. Reinstall the plug. Avoid running the engine without oil pressure.
