changing gear lube on Farmall A

Now that I have my clutch problem solved------- I am trying to figure out if the final drives that lead to the rear wheels (the large tear drops) have their on separate reservoir or is it tied in with the transmission gear lube. I can see where the large drain plug is on each side, just can't find where I should fill from. Maybe I haven't scraped of enough grease to find them!! I know, I need a manual, but I want to tinker now!! You wouldn't believe the crud that came out when I drained the transmission. If I wanted to completely drain the final drives, it looks like I need to remove the small drain pans on each side also, is this true?? Thanks for your input.
