Terry: Sounds to me as though you may have the clutch disk sticking on shaft. Has the tractor been parked all winter or off season? If tractor was parked for a time, how much have you used it since? Did you ever change the clutch? If so did you lubricate the shaft before installing? How heavy is the oil in your transmission? Here is what I would try, get a tube of automotive white grease and try in some way through the inspection hole get that grease on shaft right up against clutch disk. Another item I would try is spray on graphite. I would first wad some paper towel into disk and presure plate area to catch any excess as you don't want that on the surface of those. Just don't get too much of any lubricant in there. Use a little and get it directed right. It doesn't take much. If this fails you will probably need to split tractor. Don't get too hasty though, time does wonders on these little tractors. When I got mine out this spring, one of them was sticking a bit, it stopped that after a few days. THESE LITTLE TRACTORS LIKE USE MY FRIEND.
