Well, I have worked for the midwest's largest Inernational dealer for the last 15 years. I can tell you the 530 E is just a lerger 460 E. Excelent. The only problem they have had is the cam. positioning sensor. They have had several field changes done to them, (kind of a step below recall,) and have fixed the problem. While cats are currently having serious head gaskett problems, and are more expensive to work on. The Allison trans, most likely a 500 series are verry good trans. They had converter problems a few years back, but all ironed out now. The new Allisons almost match sticks in fuel milage now to due to much better efficiany. Just smell for burnt fluid just like a cars auto. trans.
