4-Position Light Switch Help

Today I purchased the replacement light switch for my M. Im wondering which prong to put the generator on and which to put the ignition switch on.

If I set the switch upside down and look at it like a clock, at 1 o'clock is a prong with "BAT" under it; At three o'clock is a prong with "INST" next to it; at six o'clock is a prong with "RL" next to it; at nine o'clock is a prong with "HL" next to it; and at 11 o'clock is a prong with "TL" under it. Three o'clock and nine o'clock have the resistor wire to them.

Also, do I need to install a fuse between the switch and the headlights or the switch and the generator?

In addition, this seems to be a 3-position switch now and it did come from my CNH Dealer.
