Where was the leak? Gasket, o-rings for the lines, or o-ring/seal (depends on model) to the crankcase? If it is the one that seals off the crankcase, and the shaft was grooved, and it had a seal, you should have used a speedi sleeve. If it had only an o-ring, and a groove, the hole the shaft goes through has to be enlarged enough to accept a speedi sleeve.
