OK - if he's got a 4 terminal regulator it doesn't matter whether the light switch is 3- or 4- position, or whether the switch box is properly grounded. (The light switch has no effect on 4-terminal regulator operation). Suggest running down thru the troubleshooting chart and try to isolate the problem. Good luck!
