I hope you are correct about living there slowing it down, however the main issue causing my problems is a short road used for gravel mining into a gravel bar belonging to an adjoining owner who lives several states away. This is a distance away from where my house is being built and not visible due to timber. The adjoining owner could care less who enters his, but unfortunately they never stay on his property, and I find them wandering on mine. I own 3 of 4 sides of a low water crossing and he owns the 4th, however his is less than ideal to hunt, ride atvs, or whatever on so I end up with them on me. I know my father, and grandfather (I am the 3rd generation owner) had the same problems I now have and had some very heated confrontations. The only reason I do not carry a weapon so far is that I do not want the temptation to use it. However I have very strong feelings about someone who enters upon anothers property without permission to be there for any reason. I am especially upset with the atv rider, as he is doing the most damage and it is only a matter of time before I catch him.
