0.005" was planed of deck, and 0.010" was planed off head. So overall 0.015 was removed. I notice that the pistons stick over the top of the liners by about 0.005 - 0.010". The liner also stand up 0.005" over deck. I didn't have the rings on the piston so the stick up varies. The manual doesn't mention how much tolerance there is. It is a stepped pison and the step sticks up over the piston half an inch or so. How big of a problem do I have and how do I solve it? It is a 264 cu Super M IH. Also, the manual says that the sleeve bore installed is 4" and the piston is 4". How is that possible? I measure my sleeves installed and they are 4.1275" and the piston without rings are 4". Does that seem right? Thanks a lot for any help you experts out there can provide.
