We put a farmall H engine in that we got and when we finally got it running there was no oil getting in the top of the head. But it ran good. So we keep running and and shutting it off getting worried the oil pump was not working. then like magic the oil pressure gauge showed pressure and slowly it came up through into the head. so maybe it will work for you. On the other H we rebuilt ground up I never looked at that one. if you had the engine hot tanked and cleaned up I think it just might need to be ran a little. good luck Chad
