1951 Farmall M with a transmission overdrive feature. I think it is an M&W add-in. Looking for parts diagram and/or repair suggestions. Transmission is stuck in high range. Cable mechanism is free and operates well. I have the transmission case open and can observe gears. However, I cannot tell if parts are missing or broken since I have no diagram to tell me what should be there. Overdrive gear seems to be stuck in place which is the high range. Should there be bushings, pins, springs or other parts in place that would allow overdrive gear to move? Anyone with experience or insight to the problem is welcome to offer suggestions. Or if you have a parts diagram or repair manual information that would be helpful as well.
