12 Volt Coversion question.

Argh.. I purchased a 12 Volt Conversion Kit for my Farmall 460 from TAO Supply in Pocatello Id. I was told it would be a simple bolt up process. It came with instructions that only spelled out how to convert a Ford tractor. I called the guy back and he assured me that this kit was a universal kit and would work with my tractor. Well after messing around with it all night I have come to the conclusion that this kit will not work with out major re-eningeering. Am I missing something? The only way I could even think about making this kit work would be to extend this Alternator bracket out all the way and then jury rig up some sort of extention the belt tensioner - and of coarse getting a belt about 10 inches longer. That would put the alternator so far outside the hood I will not be able to put my loader on the tractor. Thoughts? Suggestions? A place where I could get the right bracket? Help! I need the extra amps that the alternator puts out.
