Hay rack wagon's are basically a 4 wheel running gear with a flat bed on it that is above the wheel's (about waste high) and often times have a back side on them and sometimes on the front (no sides on the side). If you have been around 4 wheeled wagons you will know that some go down the road fine at faster speeds and some won't. Some 4 wheeled wagons tend to sway behind you at faster speeds. I do some small bailing. I just let the bails right on to the ground out the back of the bailor. I don't try to pull wagon on the back of bailor with somebody stacking as I go. I have gotten to the point where I like to haul the small bails on a car trailor. Pull it behind the pick-up, and since a car trailor is low profile you can put a layer or two on there before you are waste high (that way you don't have to throw the bails as high when you are picking bails up out of the field). Since the car trailor isn't a 4 wheel wagon, and hooked onto the pick-up, going down the road at faster speeds is certainly not a problem. Of coarse you still have to stack the bails senseably as you would any trailor. Anyways, thats what I do but don't know how it would work if trying to trailor them right out of the bailor. That would just about require you to pull the car trailor behing the bailor which might be a problem if you were trying to do that.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
