Dexter, If the hole is not to big it can be sealed when installing new sleeves. I would never do it but I know a fellow that bored an M 248 block to accept 4 1/4 sleeve and due to normal cylinder wall deteration for from the water jacket he bored through wall. The machine shop used some kind of sealer when installing the new sleeves. This person pulls this tractor a lot and hasn't had any leaks yet.
