ray, Had one of those when I first got my H. Assuming you've just got a lot of rust inside and no holes, here's a 4 step program -- 1. Flush all the junk in there now with Diesel fuel or some similar solvent. 2. Mechanically break away the rust flakes left in the tank by pouring in bolts, nuts, rocks, etc. and shake the tank (with some vigor) then flush out all that stuff you've broken free with the above solvent and get all the bolts etc. out. 3. Kill or neutralize the rust with one of the phosphoric acid or similar rust killer chemicals - which basically add another oxygen molecule or two to the Fe (iron) x O4 - which is rust. After you've done this, and shine a light down there, you'll see black metal. That means the inside of the tank is going to rust little if any more. 4. Coat the inside of the tank with POR-15 or some similar stuff to prevent further rust. If you have some holes, you're in for some soldering or welding plus all the above. Good luck in the project. My H runs a lot smoother now that it doesn't have to digest or filter all those rust particles -- and the sediment bowl is nice and clean. Steve

He wanted to get the rest of his corn in by the next day (Christmas Eve). We had about an inch of new snow on the ground and single digit temperatures. So in the bac
