The serial number range you gave is the best guess -- 1st quarter of 1950. Supposedly all numbers were white, as it would not be convenient to keep changing paint colors on the production line. Look for white paint in hard to reach places -- rear and inside of battery box, inside tool box, ends of the hydraulic unit, perhaps the underside of hood or gas tank or underneath the red paint. Anyplace that is hard to get paint on. Most of them were repainted by the dealers, and were probably not disassembled, or taken to bare metal before the repaint.
