I have heard that the early cub cadet lawn mowers from the 1960's had the same transmission as the cub tractors. Does anyone know if this is correct? They look very similar. Also, do the rear wheels from the cub cadets bolt onto the front wheel hubs of the cub? This would give me flotation tires for the front in wet conditions. When I was a kid, we used to put the flotation tires from Killbros grain wagons on the front of our 560's for better steering control when working ground in the spring. I have a chance to get a cadet transmission and rear wheels, but my wife is starting to give me the "look" when I drag stuff home.
