There may be a hair of settling left for the rings, but our 826 (7000 hours no overhaul) is has all kinds of names, usually revolving around the words "cold blooded." It is harsh to start in the winter, and will fill a shed with smoke and keep it full for as long as we don't move it. During the summer, if it hasn't run in more than a day, it takes AT LEAST 5 minutes for it to warm up and run perfect. Starting that tractor always seems cold. I don't know what it is, and your post struck a nerve because that's how it seems ours always is. I doubt it is your injector pump because it is too complicated of a device to only malfunction at starting and not the other 90% of the time you use it. If you do find a solution, let me know. I may be able to put it to work here. Otherwise, I love the machine, and have had half of my favorite memories upon that machine. Wouldn't sell it ever, and would like to buy another. Just a cold blooded son of a gun. Sits in a secluded shed all winter long here in Wisconsin. Good luck.
