To me ,when IH built the H & M is when they built a tractor. When they started building the 706-806-1206 is when they really built a tractor and kept improving it in the 656-756-856-1256-1456 and on to the 66 series. To me, when IH built the 06-56-66 series tractors you had power and a tractor heavy enough to handle it. They did not put a 90 hp. motor in a 5,500lb tractor. Sure today, you might have a 90 horse motor, but you need the rest of the tractor to go with it.
