I am months away from doing anything with paint on my tractor, a 1951 M with a Farmhand front loader. Still, I keep kicking ideas around. I am considering going with safety yellow paint, and "I-6" and "International" decals (if I can find them). ANyone know where I can get an "International" front emblem? I know, all the serial numbers would be wrong (FBK), and I know the end tractor wouldn't be authentic. I absolutely would never EVER say that the tractor was authentic. Still, the reason I am thinking about the change is that I want people to remember that I-series tractors existed. I'm used to hanging around the airport, and seeing industrial tractors. My other tractor is a CASE VAIW warehouse tractor. I also kinda want something a little different. You don't see too many yellow Farmalls (Internationals) out there. I know many of you are authenticity mavens, and there are others who say "anything goes. Its your tractor." What I seek are the reasons behind your opinions. Why would you want me to go authentic? Or, why might it be a good idea to imitate an I-6? Some may want to imitate a white factory demonstrator. Do those reasons apply there?
