Well, if he paid $900, it's been around a while. I bought a new L59 for a Super A in the mid 1970s. Long ago sold with the tractor, but as I recall it was 8 or 900 dollars. Being old won't hurt it though, but you'll need to check it good to make sure all the parts are there and that the bearings are good. Also sometime in the mid 1970s, Woods changed the design and went to a one piece stamped deck. When I say one piece, it still has quide a few bolt ons, but fewer than the older design had. The new one is sloped on the back side where the newer one is more squared off.
