That is what the book says and what I intended to do-- compress the plate with every other bolt. The cover which holds the springs is bolted the the flywheel -- six bolts, I think. If I remove all the bolts, what happens? Looks like all the springs come out, and go who knows where? Then I remove the pressure plate and disk? There may be holes under the cover (book doesn't show them), but I promise you there are none in the cover -- what am I missing? The clutch in my Super H is the one used in the H from SN 391358 up, they only made H's through SN 391730, so this one is removed a different way? The parts book for the H (up to 391358) does show holes in the cover and in the pressure plate, the page for the clutch I have doesn't. Look at page 106 of your H parts manual. There are no holes in the 9 fittings the springs fit over. I have never worked on a clutch in anything before. Thanks for your help.
