Chains and binders are the only way to go and be safe. Remember, you are moving and the faster you move the more energy your tractor has. A 5000+ lb. tractor like my M has a lot more than 5000 lbs. of energy if I stop suddenly. It's those sudden changes in velocity that will get you. I've seen the aftermath of a poorly restrained tractor and you don't want that happening to you. Like 'the tractor vet' said, G70 binder chain of the correct size for your load and binders of equal strength. I am using the lever binders, but if you're worried about them get the rachet type. No worries there, but they do cost a little more. The difference in price is worth it if you have several thousand dollars invested in your tractor. My reasoning is that I don't want that son-of-a-gun coming loose and running over me if I have to stop quickly. I've broken one good, high quality strap already and that was enough to convince me. My 2¢, Phil
