Thanks, Bob. If you put books on the market, you gotta expect some people aren't going to like them...OLD TRACTORS AND THE MEN WHO LOVE THEM is now up to 60,000 sales, and I've had TWO people complain, so that's not a bad record, I figure. And, I should note, my mother...my MOTHER!... doesn't approve of my last two books. I noted the chilly reception and finally asked what the problem was. She said she doesn't approve of the "f-word." I was stunned. I don't use the f-word, and certainly not my books. So I sat there wondering if maybe it was a typo or something until I finally caught on...it was the part where I refered to myself as an "old f*rt." And that is that sweet lady's notion of what the "f-word" is! When she hears them talking about the f-word on television, she thinks they mean "f*rt!" Isn't that great? Anyway, yeah, I'm used to tough reviewers, but I don't think I'll ever get accustomed to mean people who are trying to get over bad toilet-training.
