Agreed it would have been nice in 1991 to go after him. But we had no mandate to do that. Our coalition would have fallen apart and we would have been the agessor. Hind site is 20 20 I would bet if you would ask the Former President he would say they should have went. The real issue is after the war when Sadam started to break the cease fire agreements that ended the war. He needed to get his neck stepped on in 1998. All we did was slap his hand and asked that he please not do that. Shoot a missle or 2. Then return to life as normal. Pretend that he was not there or a threat any longer. Tisk tisk. Bad move, Sadam is thinking to himself right now. He thinks if he can drag this out, stall, hide dink and dunk. He can wait out GWB and when then next president takes over he can return to operating as when Clinton was incharge.
