Since you asked.... The corporate structure and truck and engine operations that had the International Harvester name did change their name to Navistar in 1985. Trucks were known as Internationals, which IH started doing sometime in the teens or before. Then a couple years ago, the corporate structure was changed so that Navistar became the corporate parent (at the time, I was told that Navistar officially had three employee) and the assets became the International Truck and Engine Corporation. You call dang near anybody within the company and they'll answer the phone as an International Truck and Engine employee, and it is by far the preferred corporate entity, if that makes any sense. Their paychecks say ITEC, etc.
